About the event
If you could have dinner with any author of any time, who would it be?
If your answer was Mark Twain, you’re in luck!!
Carolina Home and Garden has partnered with the North Carolina History Theatre and Live Oak Eats for dinner and show!
Bill Hand has portrayed Mark Twain for more than 20 years. In this special dinner show, the famous author and philosopher will share stories from some of his best known works and other writings not quite so well known – from the comic to his poignant and often biting
commentaries on the “damned human race.” Among the tales you may hear are the Jumping Frog, Grandfather’s Old Ram, and other
stories from his early works including Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Roughing It and The Innocents Abroad. The second half concentrates on both comic and dark thoughts on human relationships.
Come early and grab a drink from one our bar options! Show starts promtly at 6:30pm.
Dinners vary by night. Saturday dinner option is from Live Oak Eats and will include salad, pasta and a dessert.
Seats are assigned before you arrive for the show. If you want to sit with another group who has already purchased tickets, you must include that information in advance. Please email chgwinelounge@gmail.com with any questions.
